We are using mandatory profiles in our organization. So after I update firefox, the users will see "Hooray! Your Firefox is up to date." after each login!!!
Since we are using mandatory profiles for all users, after firefox gets updated the user is forced to see "Hooray! Your Firefox is up to date." message every time the log in and start the browser. It is not easy or possible to update user profiles each time the firefox gets updated. Besides lately it happens very often. Where can I globally in server side disable this annoying message? Or at least how can I manually edit preferences file stored in the mandatory profile folder to disable this annoying message?

Try to set the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref to ignore via a mozilla.cfg file.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.

pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); // use this to disable the byte-shift

Setting user_pref("browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone", "ignore"); in mandatory profile prefs.js removed the "updated" page. Thank you!
