Why does Firefox load my page from the top on refresh and not where I left off?

Chrome will load a webpage at the exact place I left it at on refresh. Why won't FF do the same? Is there an option to set?

firefox should do the same per default (it might not work well for sites that make very heavy use of javascript, ajax etc. for rendering pages).

in case this is affecting all pages, you could try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering...

Hmm, well I strictly use FF for dev so the only addon is Firebug and it does it on all websites. It actually just took me a month to make a ticket. I will try SM and come back here to report. Thanks!
