I'm unable to download firefox. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium and IE 9. Everytime I try to download firefox to install it tell me it has detected a virus and deletes the program before I can install. I have a free AVG virus protection software. I even tried to disable this temporarily and download but I still received the same message. Please help!

AVG should not be blocking it unless the anti virus you have may be fake. Here are some you can get for free and remove AVG to see if it helps:

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

This may be a false positive from your AV software if you downloaded Firefox from the official Mozilla server.
I've seen Avast mentioned in such a case.
