On some web pages, when opening a .pdf file, the Firefox print preview shows an 81/2X14 page format. If I print, it keeps that format. How do I change this to 8 1/2X11 format?

You might try Print, then Paper Handling, then scale to fit paper size checkbox.

If that doesn't work, maybe the document really is 8.5 x 14. Can you save it, then look at the file properties, to check?

As I worked on this problem, I've concluded the problem is that the document is meant to fit on smaller paper than letter size. I've decided that to download the document and then print through Adobe Acrobat is the way to handle it. I've just started using Firefox, and I think this is just a quirk in reader incorporated in it.

 Thanks for the response.

You can opt-out of the built-in PDF viewer and use whatever PDF reader you prefer.

This totally eliminated the problem! I just changed the setting for default previewer to Adobe Reader, and all is fine. Thanks all for your responses.
