I am very surprised that an excellent browser like Firefox is not available for download either at the App Store or on your website for IPAD & IPAD Mini. I have already installed on my Mac. Is this an over site or do you not plan for Firefox to become available to download on IPAD & IPAD Mini? Please let me know - Thank You.

As phillipp said, Macs don't use iOS, they run MacOS, and Firefox can be downloaded and run on them. iDevices (iPads, iPhones, iPods) run iOS, which has very restrictive polices to reduce competition with Apple's software.

Well my Mac is from Apple and I downloaded it onto my Mac, however it is on my IPAD mini that I am unable to download it. I was also able to download the browser called Google Chrome which is also a third party download.

my reply was referring to devices running on iOS which can only install software through the appstore...

chrome for ipad is using webkit as rendering engine which is also used for safari, so they are basically offering a different skin for the safari browser. firefox is based on a different rendering & javascript engine instead, which cannot be brought to iOS because apple is prohibiting that in the terms & conditions for developers. therefore firefox and its addon ecosystem cannot be ported to iOS devices.
