I have the Firefox on my MAC Pro osx 10.8.4 and every time i leave the computer alone and when i come back all the downloads are paused and when i click unpause some of them get canceled. How can i stop this? is there a setup on here where i can tell the firfox not to pause the downloads.

Your MAC goes probably into the sleep mode Putting your computer into the sleep state is like pausing a DVD player—the computer immediately stops what it’s doing and is ready to start again when you want to resume working. So downloads stop because the hard drive stops. I dont know, hot to wake up the downloads in a proper fashion, it is simpler to turn off temporarily the sleep mode in such cases.

Check the add-ons for a no sleep during download. No problem since I put mine on. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
