How do I get my Mac to download Firefox? I have repeatedly tried to download but it doesn't seem to ever download the file.

It is a recently purchased computer, so maybe I am missing something that I need to download first? I checked in my download folder and also in finder but don't see any evidence that the download of firefox has started.

I tried that link multiple times, but it doesn't look like it does anything. In the status bar, it looks like it attempts to download the file, but nothing happens.

Did you set a download directory in Safari (in Preferences > General)? Try getting Firefox from here:
