all of a sudden amazon.com web page is real real small on my computer. only when i use firefox. if i use internet explorer it displays normal. i have tried everything that Firefox suggested in the help pages but it did no good. one other annoying thing is when i update Firefox to the newest version i cannot get it to run after. i have to go into the control panel into programs and click on Firefox and delete. then i have to go on to Firefox web page and down load again. can anyone tell me why that happens? its a pain in the butt. for your information i have windows vista home premium.-

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are mentioning two problems

  1. real real small font on Amazon page
  2. unsuccessful update from 20.x to the latest Firefox version

Here's the instructions on how to fresh re-install - note that deleting it in the control panel is not all it takes. I am pretty sure, number 1 problem will go away once you have done it. If not, please open a new question regarding the fonts subject.

Clean reinstall means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
  3. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

Thank you.
