Chosen solution

When you reset Firefox your old Firefox profile information will be placed on your desktop in a folder named "Old Firefox Data". https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems#w_what-does-the-reset-feature-do

You can copy the file you want to restore to your new profile folder. Look at this for info on how to do.
