Firefox for android freezes/crashes immediately after start since the automatic update to Android 4.2.2 on my Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus; sometimes it reports a crash without being started. Language is German; I've send several automatic crash reports; all available updates are installed. Other apps (google+, skype, TrustGo, Polaris Office 4 ...) started to crash as well after this android update. Please help or update Firefox.

hello emuller, you might have to clear the data & cache of the affected applications for them to work correctly on the new os version (this will reset firefox to the state after a fresh install).

The new android versions have problems with firefox, you can work around this (for now) by using nightly.
