When choosing bookmarks from a nested folder, it becomes a bit of a chore because you have to click through the same pathway to the folder for each bookmark chosen.

Internet explorer has the ability to remember the folder you last chose a bookmark from, and offer this same folder again when you click the bookmarks button for 2nd and subsequent times.

Firefox use to have the ability to open all the bookmarks (as hypertext links) in a html window. This is no longer possible.

I know you can open all the bookmarks in a folder in separate tabs with one command, but this is not really what I want.

You have 2 options:

  1. Use the Bookmarks Sidebar - CTRL+B will toggle the Bookmarks Sidebar open or closed. This way the path to the nested folder remains open in the sidebar until you close the path using the "-" to the left of the folders that are nested.
  2. To display a HTML list of your Bookmarks in a tab, type chrome://browser/content/bookmarks/bookmarksPanel.xul in the Location/Address bar on an empty tab. You can also set up a bookmark or your home page to do that for you.
