There are no FF menu choices - uninstalled & reinstalled - no change

more options

I see no menu choices -not even the Firefox bar previously on the screen. The add on for appointments pops up, but I have no ability to examine details or add entries. Did all this occur when I upgraded to latest version? I deleted and reinstalled the program, with the same results. I successfully use the Mozilla mail program.

I am on Windows V7 home edition.

Firefox might be stuck in full screen mode with menus and toolbars hidden. To switch between full screen and normal views, you can use the F11 key.

In normal view, usually you can call up the classic menu bar by tapping the Alt key.

If you have the tab bar displayed, you usually can right-click a blank area (or right-click the "+" button) and display hidden toolbars by choosing them from the right-click context menu.

Any luck?

Some websites report that the InternetHelper3.1 extension typically is installed with malware. You might want to supplement your regular security scans using some of the (free) tools listed in this support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

You also can disable the extension on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Might as well review them all to make sure they serve a useful purpose. If in doubt, you can disable them and see whether you miss them.

Usually a link will appear above a disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

The InternetHelper3.1 extension probably is responsible for changing your home page to Conduit search, so after it is disabled or removed, you should able to use any home page you like.
