I forgot my master password. I used to link provided and it gives me the option to reset or cancel. I click reset and nothing happens. What now?

I forgot my master password. I used the address provided to reset it. It takes me to the page that warns me that all passwords will be forgotten and gives the option to RESET or CANCEL. I try choosing RESET and nothing happens. What do I do from here?

hello DawnC, what you could do in this case is to go manually remove the password files in your profile folder: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on profile folder/show folder and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there delete or rename the files named signons.sqlite (and if present any other text files starting with signons) & key3.db - they will be regenerated again the next time you launch the browser.
