Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Windows Vista and later)

Hi apollo21lmp,

True comparing UDP to TCP could end up in a long discussion. To this day I still have debates at work and home.

How did the troubleshooting steps cor-el provided help you out with the video jumpiness? Is the Flash up to date? The latest version is 11.9.900.170.

We have more steps for you when you reply!

Cheers
