Firefox will not display login page for Facebook or Mozilla homepage
My wife and I have used firefox for quite come time, we have the same settings on our computers, hers works fine, but my firefox will show the facebook login page and the Mozilla home page only in text. This started about 3 weeks ago, and the it completely crashed on the 24th. I have done clean reinstalls 3 times and get the same results. Anybody else have this problem and come up with a solution? Any help would be appreciated.

When you have a problem with a particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
- right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
I did the process you said, and while I had facebook open on firefox, the top line said "display Facebook.com in text. I don't know how to change that, any more help would be appreciated. Thanks for you reply.
No it didn't help, thanks for trying. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Both this support site and Facebook usually use a secure connection. In your Kaspersky software, can you check for settings relating to SSL filtering or HTTPS filtering, or similar setting that enables Kaspersky to scan/intercept secure connections, and make sure they are turned off? Here are some links I found about this on Friday: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/981541#answer-516280
