When I switch wired network connections, firefox does not connect immediately even though other browsers do. It takes firefox about 5 mins before I can use it.

During my day I move around from one meeting room to the next, disconnecting from one wired connection and reconnecting to another. Firefox seems to be thrown off by this and it cannot reconnect to the internet immediately, and needs several minutes before I can reconnection and browse. I've tested this with other browsers (explorer for eg) and it is able to reconnect and allows me to browse in seconds after I reconnect. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to improve this situation? Thx
