Dropdown list keeps mistyped logon names. How do I edit this list?
From time to time when logging onto a website, I mistype my username. One example is that I might type the first letter of a username and when the drop down list appears I accidentally miss the mark and click again in the entry area. Having immediately realized what I have done, I click the entry area again to highlight the letter that I typed and start over, but I have done so too quickly and the computer reads it as a double-click. The drop down list now has saved the single letter entry that was accidentally entered. Because of this and other errors, over time I end up with a drop down list with several incorrect usernames and one correct one. How can I edit this list to remove the mistypes and keep only the correct ones, or clear the list completely and begin again?

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:
- click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- highlight an entry in the drop-down list
- press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Too easy! Boy do I feel silly. Thank you.
