Are all extensions safe?

I want to install Saved Password Editor 2.7.2 but was wondering if extensions are tested for safety before the apprear in the search results? Or, specifically, is Saved Password Editor 2.7.2 safe to install? Thanks!

You should always be cautious when you install extensions and possibly read the comments and review others made.
Extensions that are hosted on the add-ons site are inspected and can usually be trusted.
It is however still possible that an extension gets broken by a Firefox update or an update of the extension itself.

The Saved Password Editor extension should be OK to install and use.

If you get the addon at the Mozillla Addons Page, yes, because the Mozilla group test the addons.
