flash video mouse polling rate
My problem has to do with flash and mouse polling rate. When I try to watch twitch.tv streams, and I hover my mouse over a bordered window, the video lags, like slowing frame rate. I don't see any serious cpu spikes in task explorer though. If I move my mouse in a fast manner outside of the flash window, everythings in order. The problem lies in the combination of firefox+twitch flash+mouse polling rate. Let me explain:
1)This doesn't happen in chrome. 2)It doesn't happen when the window is in full screen. 3)It doesn't occur if I set my mouse polling rate at 125 instead of 1000(razer abyssus). 4)Last but not least, youtube seems unaffected as well.
My pc is good enough(i5 last gen, 650tigtx, 8g of memory), updated VGA drivers and clean of malware. I am an experienced pc user who uses to keep using firefox, but finds it suprisingly difficult to.

So I was searching for this problem, and as I found out it's not only me. The twitch flash is lagging very bad, I'm using flash version 14.0.0.145 and FF30.0. It happens when moving mouse over the player when not full-screened. But that only lags the video, what's worse is when you hover over the Current viewers/Total views/Followers below the player - that freezes the whole firefox for me for few seconds, but only when the stream is opened for some longer time, an hour or more. Put it that way, the longer the stream is opened the longer it freezes when I hover over those numbers. It's very bad, Firefox is unusable at that point on twitch.tv for me

Hi, thanks for contacting us.
If this does not help please reply that it did not and we will try other routes.
If you are on a PC, then right click on the flash window. Click on settings, or global settings. Under the first tab, un check the box for hardware acceleration. This will tell the flash program not to use your PC, or web browser to perform hardware acceleration. Keeping this box checked puts a hard strain on even good machines.
I hope I assisted you in your issue. If I can be of any more support please let me know.
Hey, thank you for your time. Unchecking flsh hardward acc seemed to help but in no acceptable level really. I have even tried unchecking firefox hardware acceleration through options, alone and both of them actually, to no avail.
Some technician might be able to identify the cause of the problem, I mean I have pretty much sorted it out alread:
twitch (not full screen) window only(so it must have to do with certain flash aspects only twitch is using right now) firefox browser only mouse polling rate(lol!)
All of these combined provide the problematic result. Chrome works like a breeze. If I cant solve this problem, I will certainly switch to chrome after 10+ years of ff usage because of other features as well. :/
