Usually if Firefox doesn't use the entire page, it indicates a problem getting the correct paper size from the system.

When you reset the print settings in about:config, did you reset the ones related to paper size?

I'm not sure how you check the printer's default paper size on Mac, but that would be worth a peek.

Out of frustration I went into about:config and reset everything that had 'print_XX' again but also included 'print.XX' this time (more or less reset anything with print in the name). I completely quit and restarted Firefox and now it is working fine. Thanks for the help!

Note that it is usually easier to edit the prefs.js file in the Firefox program folder that stores all modified prefs that do not have the default value.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
