I am using Windows XP and I have the latest version of Firefox which is version 28.0. I want to buy a new computer but I want to be able to use Firefox and all the addons I have. I have only seen a reference to Firefox 17 working in Windows 8.1 but not version 28.0. Will I have to revert to version 17 on my new computer?

Thanks, Dianne

Chosen solution

The current version of Firefox works on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Old versions of Firefox contain security vulnerabilities and shouldn't be used.
