When I try to view a website with VR I get an error message from the web site saying I must use a browser that can view VR. I can't get an "Allow VR" box to come up. I'm using an Oculus Rift and it works on every other browser. I went to the VR Settings box, but it doesn't show any websites and there is no way to enter them. What's up?

I recently reloaded my M1 MacBook Air with macOS Sequoia. Ever since doing so, Firefox opens the right-click menu every time I press Control+Return (like when attempting to autocomplete a URL ending in .com, a feature I use quite frequently). It is only in Firefox that this happens, no other browser or program is doing this. I have uninstalled Firefox using AppCleaner, downloaded a new copy of Firefox 131.0 and reinstalled without any change in this behavior. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this so Control+Return only autocompletes a URL again?

Hi there,

For the last week or so, when I watch Youtube on Firefox, I can't save a video to Watch Later or any other way, and I can't even open the pop-downs to edit my lists. I'm signed in, my ad blockers are off for Youtube, I'm doing everything the same way I've always done it. Thought it was just a brief glitch, but since it continues, I tried the same on the Safari browser today, and had no problems.

There is an error message sometimes; I've added it via screen image.

Can you help me figure out if this is a setting I can easily fix, or requires a fix on your end?

Thank you!

So today i did a format on my PC when i go to Firefox i log in with Mozilla account but i don't remember my password so i reset it with a message to my mail but i didn't have a recovery key, i haven't used this function never and i swear that the last time i did this and logged in everything was perfect. After because i freaked out ofc i try to log in with my google account and because i assume the fresh sync got through poof nothing at all. As far as i understand i lost all my bookmarks, history, browser settings etc since i am only on 1 PC and i can't access them ever again is that correct? Is there a way to actually get my browser back to where it was before i essentially formatted my PC without doing everything by hand

When I use Google Meet, after 2-3 meetings, I can't join another one unless I restart Firefox completely. This has happened frequently.

Just now, I couldn't have my laptop unlock with facial recognition because the camera was "in use". There was no other use of the camera, than Google Meet run in Firefox.

I'd like some support for being able to fix this myself without restarting the browser, or, to submit this as a bug to get fixed in the software.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running into a strange issue whenever I try to visit https://greenleavesnursery.com/ using Firefox. The site either collapses, freezes up, or the layout just breaks. It works fine in other browsers (like Chrome and Edge), but Firefox just can’t seem to handle it.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Cleared the cache and cookies. Disabled all add-ons and ran Firefox in safe mode. Made sure I’m using the latest version of Firefox. None of these steps fixed the issue, and since the site works perfectly fine in other browsers, I’m starting to wonder if this is a Firefox-specific problem or if the website’s coding isn’t fully compatible with Firefox.

I'm curious about the current state of Web Speech API. This is a W3C specification that was implemented in both Firefox and Chrome and includes Automatic Speech Recognition.

There is a demo page at https://mdn.github.io/dom-examples/web-speech-api/speech-color-changer/

To use this in Firefox, I have to change two settings in about:config to True: media.webspeech.recognition.enable media.webspeech.recognition.force_enable

There used to be a setting that could be used to set a specific endpoint for the actual STT processing, but that doesn't show up in my list of settings anymore. I guess I could add it, but have no idea if it would be respected by the browser or what the endpoint should look like. Anyway, whatever endpoint Firefox is currently using does not seem to be working anymore, so I just get an "Error occurred in recognition: network" error.

In Chrome it works, but most likely is sending my raw audio to Google Cloud STT to do the actual transcribing. I'd like to be able to control the endpoint so I can use a local service connected to VOSK or Whisper or some other locally hosted STT engine.

I'm thinking about implementing something using WebRTC, but if anyone is working along similar lines, I'd like to join that project rather than creating my own.

Is anyone working on this?

I use Edge and it works fine.

This is not the first site I have had a login problem on.

Thanks.

Hello,

I am using Firefox with Linux. Any time I open YouTube, I need to log in with my gmail accout, requiring me to authentify my identity with my phome. I always use the same laptop. Is there a way to avoid this annoying thing so the laptop opens YouTube straightaway please? Seems like my Firefox account is not helping. The needing to continuosly log in recalls also for anything else (gmail, Netflix...). Using Chrome with Windows was better in that way.

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to hearing from you
