Fetching headers only not working with Yahoo server
Hi, I`m using the 68.11.0 version and in the last few days I have been unable to use the "download headers only" function with Yahoo Pop server. With other servers I have no problem but with Yahoo Thunderbird downloads automatically the full messages (the "fetch headers only" is selected for all servers). I tried with another client and I have no problem to download headers with Yahoo so I don`t think it`s a problem related to the server.

Did Thunderbird update in that timeframe? Personally I cringe as soon as I hear Yahoo. They appear to be about the worst mail provider on the planet these days regularly making undocumented non standards compatible changes to their service.

Thanks for the reply. No recent update in the timeframe. I tried a new installation of the 78.1.1 version and the problem is the same.
On a new TB 68.11.0 profile with a Yahoo POP account only, the messages are partially downloaded despite settings changed to headers only. Automatic downloading of new messages is disabled. All message bodies get partially downloaded with a message at the bottom saying:
Truncated!
This message exceeded the Maximum Message Size set in Account Settings, so we have only downloaded the first few lines from the mail server.
despite the mentioned size-limiting setting not being set. An Outlook.com POP account added later to the same profile, yields the expected results. The messages are NOT partially downloaded as is the case with the Yahoo account. Opening the message yield the all to familiar table saying:
Not Downloaded
Only the headers for this message were downloaded from the mail server.
with the link to download the rest of the message. I couldn't agree more that Yahoo is doing some kinky stuff on their end. Before I tried this, I logged into my Yahoo Mail account via the browser and tried to change various settings. It kept nagging me to either switch to basic Yahoo or buy a subscription via a modal prompt due to the active adblocker in my browser. The only way to get past that modal prompt was to hide it using the adblocker's element hiding function. It kept popping up every time I tried to switch from one section of the settings to another.

Not sure if I should start a new thread or not but I am having UID fetch issues with 68.11.0 32bit with a local ISP IMAP mail server. It has been happening over the past 2 weeks. Mail would simply not download today with the UID fetch failed error everytime I try to get mail. I am receiving them fine on an Android device running TypeApp. Help?
Yes, you should start your own thread.
