after browsing, I want to close firefox, but I can't; the only way to close it is to to go to settings, applications, running applications and then stop firefox. I don't think that is the right way?!

So you can't just go to your Home Screen? Usually, when you go to your home screen, you'll exit Firefox or any other programs you are using. If you can't, you can install this Firefox Mobile Add-on to see if it helps:
