FIrefox wont let me install Norton 360 5.0 -

I tried installing Norton 360 5.0 for Windows 7. CD starts to install but then stops. Can't get past initializing. Even tried downloading from Norton directly but need to change some settings on Firefox to enable Norton (I currently have Norton on computer but needs to be renewed) What do I do to enable Norton on Firefox?
