Hello everyone!

Started to use Firefox 47.0, really that's a great browser, but i got a question about using it. The problem looks so: when I open lot of tabs, the arrows on the tabs panel become active and i can scroll the list of tabs on the top of the window, and everything is good. I use a laptop (Acer v3-772G, if it's important) and his touchpad. Sometimes, when i try to scroll the page down with the touchpad (I put 2 fingers on touchpad and slide them down) the page scrolls as it have to do, but the same time the tabs bar scrolls to the right side too, like the scroll arrow was pushed. That's very inconviniently, I have to scroll the tabs bar back to find the tab that I need.

Is it normal, or some kind of bug? Or maybe I can turn off scrolling the tabs bar? Will be very grateful for any advice.

Hi   Irgen   !
With me it's the other way around:   I don't like to scroll using my touchpad     -     you get used to certain things;   don't you   ?
But you have other issues going on, and I'm really sorry:   but I can't help you with those &nbsp   -     you need the advice of some of the experts on this support forum.
I'm sure with their help you'll have this problem solved in no time   !
Good luck   !
Greetings from   Happy.

Hi   Irgen  !
Have you tried using the vertical scroll bar on the right side of the page   ?
'Hope that works for you   !

Yes, the vertical scroll on the side works good, and I can scroll with arrows on keyboard, but it's really not comfortable to use it, because you always have to move the cursor to the side and back, and I have pretty big screen. I got used to scroll with touchpad in other applications like Word or different browsers.

And what seems strange to me is that I cannot scroll only the tabs bar without scrolling the page. I thought, that there are some different actions to scroll the page and the bar, but i cannot scroll them separately.

Maybe there is some way to make tabs act like in Opera or Chrome? I mean when you open more tabs, they become smaller, but all of them stay on one screen.

By pressing the middle mouse button, you can turn the mouse into a scroll controller.

Hi   Fred   !
I assume you're addressing   Irgen   and not me   ?
Cause I don't have a mouse   (I work with a touchpad and a touchscreen)

That,s really not a problem at all, I still can use scroll with touchpad like I used to, but the thing I've described just make a little inconvenience when you work without mouse.

Happy112, do you have the same thing when using touchpad, or it's just me?

Hi   Irgen,  !
Quite frankly:   using the touchpad to scroll wasn't working for me at all;   so I just gave up trying.
But, to be fair:   I also have a touchscreen and that works just great   !   (but I also use the scroll bar on the right side     -     no problem there:   you get used to certain things, &nbsp well, at least I do )
Hey:  good luck with everything   (just keep experimenting;   that's what I do)
Greetings from Happy112.
