Firefox is crashed by Square Business website, requires refresh to load

more options

Hi we are running a new computer--an HP Desktop 12gb ram and a Ryzen 7 processor. We use the Square platform to book appointments and to run the cash register.

Firefox crashes when using the Square website, Square won't load at all and the only solution is to run Firefox in Troubleshooting mode and refresh the entire browser.

This isn't tenable as a business--I need a reliable web browser.

I think Square has a LOT of problems, but since refreshing Firefox fixes it, I'm starting troubleshooting on your end rather that Square.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Hi.

Firefox has to be "refreshed" to run Square, and since the refresh, it says "No crash reports have been submitted."

Is there a way to find past crashes?

more options

Yes, that article mentions another method:

If you can't open Firefox because it crashes at startup even in Troubleshoot Mode, use these alternative instructions to locate Report IDs:

  1. Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard. Type in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" (including the quotation marks) and click OK.
  2. In the resulting folder, there will be a text file for each crash report you have submitted. View menu, arrange them by date to find out which is the newest file and double-click on it to open it.
