Will Google toolbar work if I upgrade from v. 4 to v.6?

I uninstalled FF v.5 because I could not use the Google toolbar with the Spell Check and Translate buttons. Now FF v.6 is out and I am wondering if I would be able to get and use Google Spell Check and Translate with this version.

The Google Toolbar "will not be supported on Firefox 5 and future versions."
