I click on a hyperlink and it keeps opening up another tab with junk on it instead of opening the hyperlink, how do I fix?

Sometimes when I close the second tab that opens with junk... the hyperlink will then work on the original page... but sometimes it never lets me open up the original hyperlink...it keeps opening up another junk tab.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
