How can I designate where files I download from the Internet are stored. Can I save files to my desktop? I can never find where the files are going.

Chosen solution

You can find your downloads by clicking on the download arrow in the menu bar. It will appear blue if there are downloads that you haven't looked at yet.

If you want to change the default download location, click on the menu button, click on preferences, and make sure you are looking at the General preferences section. See the following articles for images to guide you if you need them.

Hi mikesparky69, you can choose the location where to save files with the following path "Tools -> Options -> General -> Downloads -> Always ask where to save files". I think it's the right path. I hope it answers your question. seancannon is also right.
