I think this problem started when all downloads with firefox would try to open with acrobat reader version 11. Now I can't use the adobe flash player. When I try to install it it just hangs at 95% and a window pops up - install flash player exe - no disk - and asks me to insert a disk in drive F. As I don't have a disk or a drive F this is impossible. The only way to clear this is to use task manager. I have tried using the full install, the firefox plug in installer & the windows installer. The only one that doesn't hang is the windows installer but it doesn't seem to actually install the flash player as it still doesn't work in firefox. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi jonesy2456,

Have you tried resetting your Firefox to the default state? This can fix a lot of unusual problems: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems

Thanks for the suggestion vesper but unfortunately it has made no difference. Still the same problem when I try to install the flash player.
