How can I make the LHS list and inbox text bigger?

The Tbird home page - email account list on LHS and inbox RHS top, are too small, I want to make them bigger so I can read in particular the headers of each email. I have tried downloading various Mozilla add ons which I have read can solve this but my Mac says it cannot open them. I have managed to change the font size on emails which you click on and open, but not the inbox itself. This is infuriating!! AshleyS

Chosen solution

Please read the link about add-ons. Xpi files are for Firefox and/or Thunderbird, so why would you want to open it in Safari?

Did you even try to search for the add-on in Thunderbird's search box in the Add-ons window?

Thanks but as I said above, the downloads don't work on a mac. This is the message you get when you try to open the download.......

Safari can’t open the file “theme_font_size_changer-38.3-sm+tb+fx-3.xpi” because no available application can open it.

Thanks v much Zenos. I didn't know about getting ad ons via Tbird itself and got the one I needed there without needing to download via a brower. I searched for the one called "Theme Font & Size Changer" which then plants itself in the top right corner of the screen and lets you adjust text size in the inbox and LHS mail address list to your heart's content!! Many thanks again, AshleyS
