I've been a TBird user since the beginning and it has always been my favorite. However, for about two months now on ALL my installations of TBird (laptop, desktop, etc) 100% of my incoming mail is going directly to the junk folder. I've painstakingly gone through each message and flagged/unflagged, moved to the correct folder, reset my training data, deleted the junk.msf file(s) and even uninstalled TBird, deleted the profile directories then reinstalled TBird. And this still 100% goes on. Honestly, I'm at my wits end because I receive hundreds of business, personal and spam mail daily and the amount of time going through the junk looking for valid mail is taking its toll. BTW - all my mail accounts on different servers and IMAP. And I've already tried shutting TBird and watching the servers accumulation of new mail. They're all going to the Inbox where they reside until TBird fetches them.

I've scoured this forum, the zine forum, all the popular support forums, etc, ad-nausea. All to no avail.

Other than thinking about abandoning TBird (not what I want) does anyone have any suggestions (if you have not responded to this request on any other site) that "might" restore normal functionality?

I'll certainly be awaiting any suggestions.

Thanks

Chosen solution

Trend has been seen to do this in the past. but any security suite with a junk filter can cause it.

Thank you - what I finally did was create a "new" profile and redefine my accounts and it "appears" to be back to normal now.

Do you still have the non functional profile?

Thank you - what solved my problem was to use the profile manager and create a completely new profile then redefine all my controls. So SOMETHING must have corrupt my original one. Thanks for all the help here.

That is why I am asking you if you still have that profile.... I would like to try and work out exactly what that something is.
