Hi !
You can copy the logins.json and key3.db files to the profile folder on the other computer.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
3-bar menu => Help => Troubleshooting Information => Profile Directory : 'Show Folder'

I have this problem also. I attempted to follow your instructions but do not see HELP when I open the 3 bar menu so I can't go beyond that point
Firefox on my new computer no longer asks to save user names or pass words.

After you've clicked the 3-bar menu : at the bottom, do you see that question mark ? That stands for 'Help' ...... (I should have clarified that - sorry !).
Firefox on my new computer no longer asks to save user names or pass words.
Would you check this please :
3-bar menu => Options => Security => under 'Logins': Make sure that 'Remember logins for sites' is checked.
The option Remember login sites is not enabled so I can not check it

Are you saying that 'Remember logins for sites' doesn't show under
'Logins' ?
Or should I have said : click the box in front of 'Remember logins for sites' ?
Under the option Logins there are 2 options, Remember logins for sites and Use a master password. Only the Use a master password is enabled thus I can not check Re,ember logins for sites

What do you mean by 'enabled' ? Can't you click the box in front of 'Remember logins for sites' ?
The box is not enabled. It show in lightly gray outline not a black outline. When a function is not enabled you can not use that function.
Ahh, the option is greyed out ...... I should have known that is what you meant (sorry !)
Would you make sure that you're not in permanent private browsing mode :
3-bar menu => Options => Privacy Under 'History' choose 'Use custom settings for history' and make sure that 'Always use private browsing mode ' is unchecked.
Thanks that worked now on to the problems of transferring bookmarks.
