Error message "Some folders (e.g. 'All Mail') cannot be compacted because there is not enough free disc space. Please delete some files and try again. Only happens on one computer, the other computer is storing all emails without error messages. I do not want to throw away emails to reduce space requirements. Computer reports disc space is still available. how do I fix this

Chosen solution

This message is telling you the hard disk on the computer is too full to actually make the needed copy of the all mail file for a compact to occur. THe files it is suggesting you delete have nothing to do with Thunderbird. but might include emptying the recycle bin or getting rid of some of your other files or getting a bigger hard disk.
