I can't delete the bookmarks that appear on the Bookmark bar just below the Search bar across the top of the screen. Firefox says go to the bookmarks icon at upper right, then click on the particular bookmark, and hit delete. But clicking on it simply opens the page for that bookmark. Also, clicking on the any bookmark in the Bookmark bar dos the same thing.

You need to right-click on the bookmark (or left-click if you have your mouse setup for left-hand mode). That will provide the delete option.

Sorry, maybe there is a typo in the help article. Do you recall which one it was? You need to right-click (one-button: Ctrl+click) and in fact, you can right-click the items directly on the Bookmarks Toolbar.

  • For regular bookmarks and folders, right-click > Delete.
  • For the "Other Bookmarks" folder, right-click Other Bookmarks > (uncheck) Show Other Bookmarks.

Does that work on yours?

You could use the bookmarks library (cmd+shft+o) or, instead of clicking, right-click and select 'delete'.

Thank you! The key is when right-clicking do Ctrl+click...not just a right-click
