My previous question regarding lost bookmarks

more options

I have restored/retrieved all my bookmarks with no problem at all on previous laptops even after I have gotten rid of the one before. For some reason I cannot restore or sync and retrieve any of my bookmarks. through 3 laptops that have gone dead, this has never happened before. Are they all just gone for good and Im screwed or is there a way to get them back...sync and everything is not bringing them back like before.

Here's a link to your earlier thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1344242. Seems simpler to consolidate in one or the other.

By "cannot restore" do you mean you copied over a bookmark backup file (a .jsonlz4 file) and Firefox won't restore it? Is there a particular error message?

Or is this all about Sync... unfortunately, Sync doesn't always work, but others may have a better idea of how to troubleshoot it.
