Since the Firefox update released 2 days ago (version 115.0.1) I'm constantly having an issue which causes the video to stop playing after the adverts. I eventually get a video unavailable message. I've cleared my cache but it's made no difference. I'm hoping that this is a known issue & that someone is investigating ?

Updated to 115.0.2 today & still having the problem. To be clear - it's when watching Freevee. About 8secs after the ads play, the stream stops. I get the buffering circle & then a message to say that the video is unavailable. The issue still happens when in Troubleshoot Mode. I didn't have this problem until the 115.0.1 update. For the moment, I'm using Chrome because that has no issues.

I've just found 4 other people with the same issue on the Amazon forum (that's just from a quick search). I've got a fairly old Compaq laptop, but I don't see how the hardware spec relevant. As I've already said - The problem only started after the release of 115.0.1 & I don't have the issue with Chrome. The playback only stalls after the adverts - I suspect that it will do it with any Freevee video, but I've been watching Numb3rs & I've just also had the issue when trying to watch Scorpion. I'm running Win10 22H2 but one of the other users with the same issue (on the Amazon forum) has said that they are running Ubuntu 22.0.4.2.

I now have 115.0.3 and still have this problem. Hey Mozilla, can you not reproduce this error? I really don't want to install Chrome. What is the status?

I have the same problem but, weirdly, with v116.x on both Mac and Windows systems. After trying a number of troubleshooting steps (flushing caches, refreshing FF, creating new profile, rebooting, etc.), I found that the only workable solution was to downgrade Firefox ... to v115.02, in my case.

If you want to avoid dueling browsers, would suggest downgrading to the latest version that works; at least until this problem is resolved.
