Can't run executables on a web site with Firefox 4

more options

Firefox 4, Win 7 (64 bit) When clicking on a link that runs an executable (installing software) on a web site, nothing happens. I can see the .exe in the URL when I hove over it but clicking on it does nothing. I've turned off the popup blocker but that doesn't help.

Usually Firefox will display a Save/Cancel dialog when you try to download an EXE. It won't give the option to Run it directly from the site.

If the normal dialog isn't showing, what happens if you right-click the link and choose "Save Link As..."? If you still get nothing, check out this troubleshooting article: Unable to download or save files | Troubleshooting | Firefox Help

Any luck?
