How can Firefox 4.0.1 start a profile when initializing without typing "firefox.exe -ProfileManager"?
How can I get Firefox 4.0.1 to load a profile when initializing without typing "firefox.exe -ProfileManager"?
Firefox 3.6.12 would pause when initializing to request which profile to load.
I want to install different plug-ins on different profiles for evaluation.

You can use the short form firefox.exe -P to get the Profile Manager.
Easiest is to create a desktop shortcut to launch the Profile Manager or create s shortcut for each profile if you only have a few.

Thank-you very much Cor-el :)
Unchecking "Don't ask at startup" in Profile Manager resolved the issue. Evidently, it is checked by default.
When you create multiple profiles for Firefox, Thunderbird or Mozilla Suite/SeaMonkey, the last selected profile for that Mozilla application is automatically used, unless you uncheck the "Don't ask at startup" option in the Profile Manager.

When you have multiple Firefox profiles, you can select the profile of your choice when starting Firefox by unchecking the Profile Manager option, "Don't ask at startup". This will always start the Profile Manager when starting Firefox.
