On previous firefox versions, if you have 1 tab open, it wouldn't save them when you close, but since i upgraded to firefox 6, whenever i have 1 tab open, and i close it, the page i was on comes back on when i next start up firefox. How come this happens instead of the homepage appearing?

Are you using Firefox/Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" ?

If you do not use "Show my windows and tabs from last time" then make sure that Firefox closes properly to prevent session restore from reopening a possibly crashed session.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
