Firefox won't load certain games online, HELP!

I used to use Internet Explorer and switched to Mozilla Firefox a long time ago. I could always go on flash games galore such as nitrome.com, addictinggames.com, armorgames.com, etc. and play those games without any problems. But ever since I switched to Firefox, SOME of those games won't work. As examples: -None of the Nitrome.com games work. -Bubble Tanks 3 doesn't work: (http://onemorelevel.com/game/bubble_tanks_3) -Castle Crushing the Beard DOES WORK: (http://onemorelevel.com/game/castle_crashing_the_beard) -Electric Man 2 DOES WORK: (http://onemorelevel.com/game/electric_man_2) -Level up! (game) will load completely, let me click play, load the adverts, but then show a black screen. (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/519030)

...and the strangest one of all:

-Ricochet Kills 2 will only PARTIALLY work. It will load the game and let me play it... but only takes me to a screen with the background image and the game music. I can right-click and press the "forward" button and THEN it will work.

These are all my relevant plug-ins:

-Adobe Acrobat 9.1.0.163 -Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.310.5 -Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U31 6.0.310.5 -Microsoft DRM 9.0.0.4503 -Quicktime Plug-in 7.7.1 -Shockwave Flash 11.1.102.55 -Shockwave for Director 11.6.1.629 -Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library

and I have an AdBlock Plus extension.

I already have the latest java, adobe flash, and shockwave. I already tried disabling Shockwave for director and tried disabling AdBlock Plus.

Is there something I'm missing here?? Does it have something to do with the games i CAN and CANNOT play??

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Try "Disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.

Thanks for trying to help, but none of those options helped me :(.

I restarted firefox in safe mode but the games did not work (neither level up! nor nitrome.com). I deselected the hardware acceleration, but it did not work. I went through the links you posted and tried a few that i thought were relevant to my problem, but still to no avail (such as updating all my plug-ins to the most recent mode). I even combined multiple steps (safe mode + deselect hardware), but to no avail...


I should also note that i do have an antivirus, and thats not causing the problem...

Why did it work in IE before!?

I downloaded Google Chrome and IE and neither play the games!

What the heck!?

am i missing something here??

I have adobe flash, adobe acrobat, shockwave, windows media player, quicktime, java.... what the heck am i missing!?
