Firefox keeps crashing/freezing becomes sluggish when playing a flash video. I will still be able to watch the video but I can not kill the tab without going into the task manager and killing either flash or Firefox. Firefox works perfectly when running early versions of Flash 10, but certain websites are requiring Flash 11.4 to run. I have disabled hardware acceleration in both flash and firefox and still fails to work properly.

Did you try to disable protected mode in the Flash player?

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

That seems to have fixed the freezing issue for now....but now all the commercials in YouTube are En español.
