Since yesterday FF24 has repeatedly displayed a message "Object moved to Here" where "Here" is a link.

This happens for multiple websites. Clicking on "Here" normally gets through to the page that was meant to be displayed.

Clearing all history / cache etc doesn't make a difference.

Before yesterday FF24 was working fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

cheers

D.

Firefox with add ons disabled also works.

By disabling add-ons one-at-a-time, I have found that the 'Do Not Track Me' add-on was responsible on my machine. I still have Ghostery installed but I can use it's GUI prompt to bypass the tracker once-only until the destination page is reached. This has worked for one instance of the 'Object moved to...' text only so I'm not sure if it's a panacea. Cheers.

This message could indicate that an automatic redirect was stopped so you have the choice as to whether to proceed. Not sure whether that is an advertised feature of any of your extensions.

I'm having a wicked time with this problem, too. What's the solution?

Hi uoptions, the original poster reported that it was caused by an add-on. To see whether that is a factor in your case, try visiting the problem sites in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Flash will still work)

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

Greetings!

Yes, it helped. I started FF 24 in safe mode and then started it again in normal mode. Problems seem to be gone for now.
