I keep getting a message to update my media player but Norton indicates it is not safe and deletes it.

This message appears to be from Firefox but If I try to download it, Norton takes over and deletes it. There is nothing else I can say. I am running windows 7. IP is Xfinity.

Such a pop-up message is a scam and you should never respond to such an alert to avoid getting infected with malware.

You should only update Firefox via "Help > About" or by downloading and installing Firefox from the Mozilla server and never via a pop-up or link on a web page.
