Can't switch to another window/program unless I minimize Firefox first

I just had a major system lock-up on my Win10 laptop today and was forced to shutdown by holding the power button. After restarting, I accidentally told FF to refresh instead of starting in safe mode and have been dealing with various technical issues ever since.

The one I'm battling with at the moment is my inability to switch to other programs I have open by clicking on their icons in the taskbar. I can see the animations in the background as they minimize/maximize each time I click on them, but FF remains the active window at all times. I have no problem switching between them this way once FF is minimized or if I use ALT + TAB; so it's clear to me that it's something to do with FF - yet I cannot find any setting that could even be misinterpreted to involve a "keep FF on top" setting.

Nevermind. I found this to be a symptom of a graphics driver update I installed in response to a recent Win10 update. Un/re-installed the driver, rebooted a couple of times - no worries now. (knock on hea- er, wood)
