I have a video that stops playing when firefox is not the active window. How can I change it, and have video keep playing while the window is in the background?

I am watching a web video, but this stops automatically if firefox is not the active window (namely it is in the background). How can I change that, so to have that the video keeps playing while the window is in the background? It appears to be an ftv player running the video (although it may be simply flash, I am not an expert and dont recall having installed an ftv plug in). Thank you

What video and what site are you referring to? This is gives no information where to start to begin.

I am sorry! I couldn't see why that information would be relevant. The website is https://www.france.tv/france-3/direct.html and the video is the advertisement that shows up when you first hit `play'. They have a clever way to force you to view the advertisement by automatically stopping the streaming if the window is not active (i mean not in the foreground), and I am hoping there is a way to defend oneself from this... Thanks Simone
