The WMP plugin suggested on your webpage does not install, gets corrupt message.

My Firefox Options page does not show the np-mswmp.dll as installed. I downloaded the WIndows Media Player plugin from dlldump.com to my downloads folder (XP OS) per your webpage instructions here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_Media_Player#Installing_the_new_plugin

I changed the about: config flag to True for plugsin.load[etc]. Firefox did not detect the new plugin. I tried to move it to c:\Program Files\Firefox\browser and Windows would not let me. (I could not find a \plugins folder there.) Then I tried to install it by using the gear icon and "Install Add-on from file". Firefox would not let me, said it was corrupt. What gives?

Npdsplay dll is what you need for WinXP and earlier. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_Media_Player

Looks like you have it.
