I am using Thunderbird at the Office and at my Home... my email id is [edited email from public] @kirtanlal.com.

I have POP3 accounts in both the computers : (a) The Home Computer and (b) The Office Computer. That means, I have a complete set of all Incoming Emails in my Home Computer as well as my Office Computer.

I like it that way, because that way, I always have the "all the emails" available for my reference whenever I am working from Home or from the Office... So if I have to see the various incoming emails on a Particular Subject or from a Particular Sender.... I can see all the emails using the "SEARCH BOX".

But recently there is some problem... Emails which are downloaded at Home-Computer does not get downloaded at the Office-Computer and vice-versa. This did not happen before... But I copied the profile from Home-Computer and pasted it in the Office-Computer and since then this problem has started.

In a similar way, I have 2 Computers at Home as well... And I faced the same problem. Here in this case, I did not copy any profiles... Just created the same profile on each computer separately.. But somehow, Thunderbird is treating both the computers as one... That means, messages downloaded on 1 computer does not get downloaded on the other computer..

Whereas, What I want (and I prefer) is that ALL THE MESSAGES should be downloaded on Each of the Computer where I set up the Profile of [edited email from public] @kirtanlal.com

Pls help... thanks

With IMAP, what you prefer is automatic. With POP, it is up to you to ensure that settings on each PC is set to leave messages on server and to not delete. That way, when one PC downloads messages, they remain on server so the other PC can download them. Periodically, you may need to delete the online messages, once you are sure both PCs have all the messages. The setting I'm referring to is in Tools>Accounts>Server Settings.
