I am running Forefox 3.6.8 on a MAC OSX 10.6.4 with 2.8ghz Intel Core2Duo and 4GB 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM and have a 700GB HD. My ISP is Comcast Broadband. Running speed test shows I have download speed of24.81 mb/s and Upload of 4.54 mb/s. I have been told that this is above average. My problem is that one of the websites I use loads very slow and downloads even slower. It takes 5 - 8 min to receive a download 30 +/- MB at 45 - 60 kb/s. It only happens with this one site. Similar downloads from other sites take less than 1 min for the same size files. Any suggestions?

It could be the site struggling to keep up with demand. It also could be Comcast balancing the load on its network by limiting the throughput for some types of downloads or some sources of downloads. (That is not without controversy...) Unless you can compare from another network, it's hard to say.
